2 Ostuni and Alberobello
The group explores Ostuni, the renowned ‘White City of Apulia,’ wandering through its charming labyrinth of alleyways and stairways that overlook centuries-old olive groves. Lunch is served in a traditional masseria, accompanied by a tasting of local wines. The day continues in Alberobello, famous for its distinctive conical stone-roofed ‘Trulli’ houses.
3 Lecce and Otranto
Travelers stroll through Lecce, often called the pearl of Apulian Baroque, visiting the vibrant Piazza Oronzo and the remains of the Roman amphitheatre. In the afternoon, the journey continues to Otranto, where the rich history of the Mediterranean unfolds. The day concludes with a tasting of creamy burrata cheese.
Day 4 Matera
The breathtaking ‘Sassi’ of Matera, ancient cave dwellings carved into tufa stone cliffs, offer a unique glimpse into history. This UNESCO World Heritage site was honored as the European Capital of Culture in 2019.
Day 5 Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius
