11-day itinerary

1. Arrival in Rome (FCO)  - Overnight in Rome
Arrival at Fiumicino Airport and transfer to the hotel in Rome. Depending on the arrival time, the remainder of the day is free to rest or explore the surroundings at leisure. Overnight stay in Rome.

2. Ancient Rome and afternoon at leisure - Overnight in Rome
A guided tour of Ancient Rome introduces the city’s monumental past. The visit includes some of the most important archaeological landmarks, such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, bringing to life the grandeur of the Imperial era. The afternoon is reserved for leisure, allowing time for independent exploration or relaxation.

3. Classical Rome and wine tasting in the Alban Hills - Overnight in Rome
In the morning, a guided tour showcases the classical highlights of Rome, from the elegant squares to the masterpieces of the Baroque period. Admire architectural landmarks such as Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. In the afternoon, the journey continues to the picturesque Alban Hills, a traditional winemaking region, for a tasting experience in a local cellar.

4. Rome to Sorrento via Pompeii - Overnight in the Sorrento area
Departure from Rome towards the Sorrento area with a stop at Pompeii. A guided visit through the ancient streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site reveals remarkably preserved villas, temples and mosaics, offering a vivid glimpse of life in Roman times before the eruption of Vesuvius. Continue to the Sorrento area for overnight stay.

5. Sorrento and Amalfi Coast with Limoncello - Overnight in the Sorrento area
A full-day excursion unfolds along the spectacular Amalfi Coast, renowned for its dramatic cliffs, terraced lemon groves and charming villages. Visits include stops in picturesque towns such as Positano or Amalfi, with free time to stroll through narrow alleys lined with boutiques and cafés. The experience is enriched with a tasting of limoncello, the iconic regional liqueur.

6. Mozzarella show and time at leisure in Sorrento - Overnight in the Sorrento area
The day begins with a live demonstration of traditional mozzarella-making, showcasing the craftsmanship behind this culinary specialty. A tasting follows, highlighting the fresh flavors of local dairy production. The rest of the day is left free in Sorrento to enjoy the town’s atmosphere, with its lively squares and panoramic terraces overlooking the Bay of Naples.

7. Naples tour, pizza lunch and ferry embarkation - Overnight on the ferry
Transfer to Naples for a guided tour of the historic center, a UNESCO-listed area that reflects the city’s vibrant history and culture. The visit is complemented with a traditional pizza lunch, celebrating one of Naples’ most famous culinary creations. In the evening, embark on the overnight ferry to Palermo, departing around 20:00–21:00.

8. Palermo and market lunch, transfer to Cefalù - Overnight in the Cefalù area
Arrival in Palermo, followed by a guided tour through the city’s historic heart, including its unique mix of Arab-Norman architecture. A market lunch introduces the flavors of Palermo’s rich street food tradition. In the afternoon, transfer to Cefalù, a coastal town dominated by its medieval cathedral and scenic seafront. Overnight stay in Cefalù.

Time to discover Cefalù’s charming old town, with its cobbled streets, seaside views and imposing Norman cathedral. The excursion then continues into the Madonie mountains for a tasting of typical local products, reflecting the traditions of Sicilian gastronomy. Later, transfer to the Taormina area for overnight stay.

10. Taormina and godfather tour - Overnight in the Taormina area
Guided exploration of Taormina, including its historic center and the renowned Ancient Theatre with panoramic views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea. In the afternoon, the itinerary follows the trail of the iconic film The Godfather, visiting villages such as Savoca and Forza d’Agrò, where time seems to have stood still.

11. Syracuse and Noto - Overnight in the Taormina area
A full-day excursion explores the treasures of Syracuse, once one of the most important cities of the ancient Mediterranean. Visits include the archaeological park and the island of Ortygia, home to baroque palaces and the striking Cathedral Square. The day continues in Noto, admired for its golden-hued baroque architecture and harmonious streets. Return to the Taormina area for overnight stay.

12. Departure
Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
