The day unfolds with a tour to Lake Trasimeno, one of Umbria’s serene natural gems. A boat ride across the lake offers a unique perspective of its sparkling waters and surrounding landscapes. The Isola Maggiore, a small, tranquil fishing village, exudes a romantic charm and provides breathtaking views over the lake. A lunch featuring local wine and farm-produced delicacies brings a taste of the region’s culinary heritage. The city offers a rich mosaic of attractions from different eras, revealed through the atmosphere of its narrow streets, piazzas, and palaces. The city is also celebrated as a home of chocolate; a visit to a local chocolate factory allows travellers to appreciate the artistry of chocolate-making, complemented by a tasting experience. In the afternoon, the itinerary continues to Deruta, a town renowned for its centuries-old ceramics tradition. Its many shops display beautiful majolica, and in a local workshop, visitors can observe the craftsmanship and learn about the intricate production process that has defined Deruta for generations.

A visit to an olive oil mill provides insights into traditional production methods, complemented by a short film illustrating a typical day of work, followed by a tasting of freshly pressed oils. The journey continues to Bevagna, where the historic centre invites leisurely exploration. The day culminates in Montefalco, perched like a falcon over the valley below. Known as the “Balcony of Umbria,” the town captivates with panoramic views and rich cultural heritage.
