Today’s journey follows the western shoreline of Lake Maggiore, continuing through Locarno toward Lugano. Upon arrival, time is dedicated to exploring the elegant lakeside promenade, the landscaped park of Villa Ciani, and the historic centre, where arcaded streets and the frescoed church of Santa Maria degli Angeli reflect the city’s refined character. The itinerary then proceeds to Como, the renowned “Silk City,” distinguished by its striking cathedral and atmospheric old town of narrow streets and lively squares. Throughout the day, the route unfolds across a sequence of iconic lakes and resort landscapes, where the scenery itself forms a central part of the experience. Return is via the southern shores of Lake Maggiore to the hotel.
