1 Arrival

2 Barcelona and Vermouth

Guided tour of vibrant Barcelona: exploration of the Barrio Gotico (Gothic Quarter) with its labyrinthine streets, where ancient Roman ruins blend seamlessly with medieval architecture. On to the bustling promenade of La Rambla, a lively boulevard brimming with street performers, flower stalls, and local vendors. Visit to the iconic Boqueria Market, where a kaleidoscope of colours and aromas delights the senses. Stop at a local bar to taste the authentic, homemade “Vermut Casero”.

Gusto of the day: Vermouth

  • 1 x 3-hour guided walking tour of Barcelona
  • 1 x Vermouth aperitif tasting at a local bar with the typical “bomba” snack

3 Costa Brava and Paella

Drive along the breathtaking cliffs and golden sandy beaches of the Costa Brava. First stop in Begur, the city of watchtowers, where the mountains plunge into the Mediterranean and give the town centre its special charm, characterized by traditional flair, with its ruins of a simple knight's castle from the 15th century. The tour continues to Pals, known for its Gothic-medieval old town, which is one of the most picturesque towns in the Costa Brava hinterland. Lunch break with a typical meal of Paella and Sangria. Back to Calella de Palafrugell, a former fishing village with small coves that has preserved its original charm.

Gusto of the day: Paella y Sangria

  • 1 x FD tour guide for the Costa Brava excursion
  • 1 x Paella y sangria lunch

4 Penedes and Cava

Visit to Montserrat, one of the world’s most fascinating monasteries, perched on a mountain overlooking the Llobegrat valley, through which the river eventually flows into the Mediterranean. Rack railway ride down to the valley for a memorable view. Afternoon visit to Penedès, one of the most important wine regions in Spain, known for its famous Cava or Spanish “champagne”. Stop for a tasting paired with local delicacies.
