1 Arrival in Sicily and overnight in Milazzo

2 Lipari: Queen of the Aeolian Islands
• Early in the morning we take the boat to the Aeolian Islands to discover Lipari
• Our hiking path leads us past the volcanic rocks of Timpone Pataso and the
ancient pumice-stone quarries
• The trail continues to the ancient San Calogero thermal baths offering panoramic
views across the surroundings islands

3 Stromboli at sunset
• Morning at leisure, in the afternoon we take a boat trip to the Island of Stromboli
• Brief stop on the small but beautiful Isle of Panarea for a warm-up stroll
• In Stromboli we hike to the edge of the Sciara del Fuoco (flowing lava) viewpoint
at 400 metres above sea level with view of the volcano’s crater in the distance
• Back on board, we stop in front of the Island of Stromboli to admire the eruptions
from the sea under cover of darkness
• Enjoy an evening meal of pasta with appetizers on the boat

4 Vulcano Island
• Today we discover Vulcano, the southernmost Aeolian Island
• Climb to the top of the crater and experience the fumarole air streams together
with an amazing view of the surrounding archipelago
• Back at sea level chance to bathe in one of the famous hot sulphur springs or
spend some leisure time on the black sandy beach

5 At leisure | Enjoy the unique flair of Lipari or take an optional jetfoil ride to the
  remote islands of Alicudi and Filicudi

6 Salina and wine tasting
• Boat ride to Salina, the island where the Italian film ’’The Postman“ was set
• Hiking tour along one of the prettiest and most fascinating trails of the Aeolian
  Islands, between land and sea
• We leave Madonna del Terzito to hike through the typical mediterranean macchia
  adorned with eucalyptus and acacia trees
• The day ends with a visit to a winery and a tasting of the local wines

7 Mount Etna
• Back in Sicily we discover Europe’s highest active volcano and its numerous craters
• From the Belvedere viewpoint (1.472 m) hike through orchards, chestnut groves
  and the volcanic desert to Monte Zoccolaro
• Continue on to the Silvestri craters (1.900 m) with its impressive lava flows from
  the 1983 and 2001 eruptions
• On the way back we stop at a honey farm to sample this liquid gold
