ITINERARY - Tour "GRAN GUSTO"
Day 1: Arrive in in the Prosecco wine area
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel in the Prosecco wine area. Check-in at the hotel, Prosecco welcome drink and the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Bassano del Grappa – Asolo
Specialties of the day: Grappa, Gnocchi (potato-dumplings) and Baccalà (Stockfish)
Today we will visit the historical center of Bassano, the town of the “grappa”, and its famous Nardini distillery. Lunch at the renowned restaurant “’Belvedere”. After a short visit of Marostica with its old-walls and two castles, we will continue to Asolo, whose pretty surrounding scenery has always been a great inspiration for poets, writers and artists.

Day 3: Treviso - the Prosecco Wine Route
Specialties of the day: Prosecco wine, cheese and honey
Before we begin our journey of discovery of Italy's first wine-road, we stop in Treviso to admire its Cathedral and Baptistery. The Prosecco Wine Route crosses the gentle hills covered by lush vineyards. If passing by on a Monday we suggest a stop at the lively farmers' market with its local delicacies. A visit to a local winery with a Prosecco wine tasting will round off the day.

Day 4: Verona and Reggio Emilia
Specialties of the day: Rice and Soave wine
We spend the morning exploring the town of Romeo and Juliet, Verona. Tour Piazza Bra’ with its magnificent Roman amphitheater, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Signori and the shopping street Via Mazzini. In the afternoon, our tour will take us to a rice farm near Isola della Scala, where we will learn how rice is refined traditionally, and then sample various rice products during our lunch here. We will then proceed to Reggio Emilia, the birthplace of the famous red, white and green Italian flag. After having explored the old town we may visit the Tricolour Flag Museum.

Day 5: Reggio Emilia - Cavazzone
Specialty of the day: Balsamic vinegar and Parmesan Cheese
Early in the morning we visit a traditional Parmesan cheese factory to learn all about the process of making aged Parmesan cheese and to sample the exquisite cheese at different stages of maturation. We will then make our way to the hills south of Reggio Emilia and visit a beautiful chalet-style Villa. At lunchtime we stop at a beautiful farmhouse which also features a famous balsamic vinegar factory. Before we enjoy a guided tour of the Acetaia Balsamica, we will be served a delicious meal containing the two ingredients of the day Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar. After our return to Reggio Emilia we may stroll though the town at leisure.

Day 6: Parma and Langhirano
Specialties of the day: Tortelli and Parma ham
We experience the elegant Renaissance-style city of Parma. Apart from the 12th-century Romanesque cathedral and its cupola covered in frescoes by Correggio, it is also famous for its opera tradition and its delightful cuisine. After our guided city tour we will enjoy lunch in a Trattoria, relishing home made Tortelli and other delicacies. In the afternoon we will get out of town to the hilly surroundings and head towards Langhirano: main center of Parma Ham production. At a local farmer’s we gain an insight of the process of making prosciutto and, of course, will also get the chance to taste the precious ham accompanied by a glass of Lambrusco wine. In the afternoon we proceed to Milan.

Day 7: Milan
Specialty of the day: Aperitif alla Milanese
Today we will visit Milan, where an English-speaking guide will take us on a half-day tour including the Duomo Cathedral, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and La Scala Theater. Free time for lunch (not included) and afternoon at disposal to enjoy shopping in Italy’s Design and Fashion capital. Later on we gather to celebrate the most cherished Italian pastimes, the aperitivo, a popular Milanese tradition of pre-dinner drinks accompanied by appetizers and finger food.

After breakfast, transfer to Milan airport and departure.
