Venice - Verona - Lake Garda - Bergamo - Lake Como - Lugano - Lake Maggiore
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive in Venice
Boat transfer from Venice Airport to the hotel. Check-in and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Venice
In the morning we get an introduction to Venice on a guided walking tour exploring the major sights: St. Mark’s square and basilica, Doge’s Palace, Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, just to name a few. We will spend the afternoon discovering Venice’s hidden corners and secret places at our leisure.

- Do it like a Venetian… by taking part in a Bacarò tour, an eating and drinking tour that stops off at traditional osterias

Day 3: Venice - Verona - Lake Garda
Boat transfer to Tronchetto, where we board our bus bound for Verona. Our tour leader will take us to Piazza Bra’ with its Roman amphitheater, Via Mazzini and other parts of the historical center. We will stop for a visit of the stunning village of Sirmione on Lake Garda with its castle, the Roman ruins and the thermal bath before we continue to the hotel.

Day 4: Lake Garda
Today we go on a journey of discovery through the unique and bizarre landscape of Italy’s largest lake by bus and by boat. The narrow north of the Lake Garda is dominated by the peaks of the Mt. Baldo mountain-chain whereas the lake spreads out comfortably in the south. Our tour leader will take us on an orientation tour pointing out the rich history and beautiful architecture of the idyllic fishing villages which we will be able to admire from the boat.

- Add 1 day and explore the UNESCO-listed Dolomites! Indulge in a full day excursion in the breathtakingly beautiful mountain range with its hidden valleys, fairy-tale villages and spectacular peaks
Day 5: Lake Garda - Bergamo - Lake Como
Our first stop will be in Bergamo surrounded by medieval walls. By funicular we will reach the upper old-town and with an English-speaking guide we walk to Piazza Vecchia where the Baptistery, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with the Colleoni Chapel and the Palazzo della Regione create an unique ensemble. We will then continue to the Lake Como area.

Day 6: Lake Como
This morning we will tour the old-town of Como and see the Cathedral, the Town Hall and Piazza Cavour. In the afternoon we will reach the village of Tremezzo and visit Villa Carlotta. The Villa boasts a magnificent park of rare plants and art. We continue by boat to Bellagio for a walking tour through the old town.

Day 7: Lake Como - Lugano - Lake Maggiore
This morning we will travel to Lugano in Switzerland. Enjoy the Belvedere Garden with camellias, magnolias, many subtropical plants as well as modern works of art. We will continue to Lake Maggiore by bus. By private boat, we will visit the Borromean Islands: Isola Bella, with its Baroque Palace and beautiful garden, and Isola dei Pescatori, a picturesque fishing-village. At the and of the day we will have some free time to stroll through the town of Stresa.

Day 8: Lake Maggiore - Milan
Today’s excursion will take us to Milan. We will enjoy a 3-hour tour with an English-speaking guide, and see the Duomo, the Cathedral, the world-renowned Opera House La Scala and the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery. As Milan is also the capital of fashion, you will have some time for shopping.
