1.Arrival in Emilia Romagna

2. Brisighella – olive oil capital
Our first excursion takes us to Brisighella, a pretty medieval village famous for its excellent olive oil which we taste on a visit to an oil mill
We then hike on the "Sentiero dell'Olio" (Oil Path) through olive-groves to the three imposing chalk cliffs with their jewels: the Sanctuary of Monticino, the Clock Tower, and the "La Rocca " Fortress.

3. The foothills of Bologna and tortellini
Today we hike on the pilgrim trail from Casalecchio di Reno to the Sanctuary of San Luca, from where we can admire a wonderful view of Bologna.
After our visit we continue through the 4-km-long characteristic arcade of San Luca to Bologna where we taste the city’s speciality: tortellini together with a glass of Lambrusco wine.

4. The world’s smallest and oldest republic, San Marino, and cheese tasting
Today we take an old railway line trail to the three towers of San Marino from where we have a wonderful view of the sea
We then drive to Sogliano al Rubicone and its characteristic „pits“, where a unique cheese is produced
After our visit to one of these special cheese producers, we get to sample this tasty delicacy.

5.Dozza – the "Chianti" of Emilia-Romagna
Finally we discover Emilia's most famous wine region on a leisurely hike in the vineyards to the medieval village of Dozza, renowned for its murals and its imposing Rocca Sforzesca Castle. We visit a winery and enjoy a tasting accompanied by local delicacies.
