ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive at the Riviera of Flowers

Day 2 (Saturday):  Nice Carnival
Participate in one of the carnival celebrations in the world! Watch the impressive Flower Parade on the Promenade des Anglais and catch one of the thousands of flowers thrown from the decorated floats to the delighted spectators during the world renowned Bataille de Fleurs. In the evening behold the Parade of Lights as the floats are illuminated in captivating colored lights and are wheeled around the main square. After the music and shows have ended, enjoy some time for dinner on your own before being brought back to the hotel.

Day 3 (Sunday): Menton's Lemon Festival and Procession
Transfer by coach to the first city on the Côte d’Azur, just beyond the Italian border, to be dazzled by the "Fête du Citron." The unique event celebrates citrus – using its naturally bright colors to create artwork enlivening the mild winter days. The fruit sculptures crafted from over 145 tons of oranges, lemons and grapefruit in the Biovès Gardens are enchanting during the day and in the evening when it is transformed into the “Gardens of Light.” Enjoy the parade of sun-inspired floats!

Day 4: San Remo and Inland Liguria, Complete with an Olive Oil and Wine Tasting
See how to live in true celebrity style. Sanremo is the Italian Rivieria’s response to Cannes. The most famous spot on the “Riviera of Flowers” blooms and buzzes with shoppers searching for high-end fashions on its palm-lined streets. Then continue on, inland, to see a simpler side of Liguria. Stop at an olive mill for a tour and tasting including snacks and wine.

Day 5:  Departure
