1 Arrival in Sorrento
· Check-in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight

2 Naples and Pompeii (100 km - 62 mi)
· Upon arrival in Naples our English-speaking guide will take us on a panoramic walking-tour of the old-town including Piazza del Plebiscito, Gallery Umberto I and the Royal Palace
· In the afternoon our journey will continue to Pompeii, the city destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 B.C, for a guided tour of the archaeological site

3 Capri
· Today’s highlight will be the visit to the island of Capri. By boat, we will reach Marina Grande. On the island a local minibus will take us to the center of Capri, the famous Piazzetta and the Augustus Gardens. From here we will enjoy a fantastic view of the Faraglioni cliffs
· In the afternoon we will reach Anacapri by minibus and visit the house of the Swedish doctor A. Munthe (not included) and the church of San Michele (not included). Return to Sorrento in the late afternoon

4 Amalfi Coast and drive on to Torre Canne/Polignano (360 km - 224 mi)
· Today we will take the stunning Amalfi Coast Road passing by Positano, characterised by its narrow alleys and steep stone steps. In Amalfi we will stop for lunch (not included). Amalfi is so narrow and steep that the small alleyways of the town are all stepped. We will see the Cathedral, Bell Tower and the “Paradise Cloister”.
· In the afternoon we will proceed on to Torre Canne/Polignano

5 Matera and its „Sassi“ (180 km - 111 km)
· This morning we will visit Matera with its famous “sassi” (stones). This city was
built into the hills and ravines made of soft tufa stone. The local people carved
their houses right into the “Sassi” or stones, where they lived in cave-like dwellings.
This area is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
· Enjoy the afternoon by experiencing this unique city at your leisure.

6 Alberobello und Castellana Grottos (88 km - 55)
· We spend the morning exploring the town of Alberobello with its unique conical
stone roofed “Trulli“ houses.
· We will then make our way to the Castellana Caves, one of the most important tourist attractions in Puglia. The underground tunnels are up to a mile long and feature amazing of stalactites and stalagmites. We arrive at our hotel in Ostuni later in the day and have time to relax.

7 Castel del Monte - Palace in Caserta (334 km - 207)
· Today’s excursion will take us to the world-famous Norman Castle, Castel del Monte, which dominates the surrounding countryside from a hilltop and is one of the best preserved medieval castles in southern Italy.
· After a guided tour, we will proceed to the city of Caserta, to visit the famous Palace, A UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a former residence constructed for the Bourbon King of Naples
